Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using the services provided by ClawNest AB ("ClawNest", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, strictly do not use our services.

You must be at least 16 years of age to use ClawNest, in accordance with GDPR requirements.

2. Description of Service

ClawNest provides managed hosting solutions for OpenClaw instances. We handle the infrastructure, deployment, backups, and maintenance of the server environment required to run OpenClaw AI assistants.

Important Distinction: We are a hosting provider. We are not the developers of the OpenClaw software itself, nor do we provide the Artificial Intelligence (AI) models.

3. Account Registration & Authentication

You may create an account using OAuth sign-in via GitHub, Google, or Microsoft. By using these authentication providers, you also agree to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.

  • ClawNest is not responsible for the availability or functionality of third-party authentication providers.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect any unauthorized access.

4. AI Model Usage & Billing

ClawNest offers two ways to power the AI functionalities within your hosted OpenClaw instance:

Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)

You may provide your own API keys from third-party providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter).

  • You are solely responsible for obtaining valid API keys.
  • You are responsible for all costs charged by these third-party AI providers.
  • ClawNest is not liable for any usage costs incurred on your API keys.
  • We store your API keys securely using industry-standard encryption and only use them to function your specific AI assistant instance.

Platform Billing

Alternatively, you may use AI models billed through ClawNest. In this case, we route requests to third-party AI providers on your behalf and apply a service markup (typically 10%) on top of the provider's token cost.

  • Current per-model pricing is displayed in the dashboard before you enable Platform Billing.
  • Usage is billed monthly alongside your subscription. Intermediate invoices may be issued when your accumulated usage reaches €25.
  • We reserve the right to adjust the markup percentage with at least 30 days' notice.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Services are billed on a subscription basis (monthly or annually). Payments are processed securely via our payment processor (Stripe).

  • Free Trial: We may offer a limited free trial. Upon expiration, you must upgrade to a paid plan to continue using the service.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the dashboard. Access continues until the end of the current billing cycle.
  • Refunds: We generally do not offer refunds for partial months, but exceptions may be made for technical failures on our end at our sole discretion.

6. Workspace & Team Plans

If you subscribe to a Team plan or create a workspace with multiple members:

  • The account owner is responsible for ensuring that all team members comply with these Terms of Service.
  • ClawNest reserves the right to suspend an entire workspace if any member violates these terms.

7. User Responsibilities & Prohibited Use

You agree not to use ClawNest to:

  • Host AI assistants that generate illegal, abusive, self-harm, or harassing content.
  • Attempt to bypass our security measures or reverse engineer our hosting infrastructure.
  • Overload our infrastructure intentionally (DDoS or stress testing without permission).

We reserve the right to terminate instances that violate these rules immediately without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

  • Your Content: You retain full ownership of all content, data, and configurations you create or upload to ClawNest.
  • ClawNest Platform: The ClawNest dashboard, website, and hosting infrastructure are owned by ClawNest AB.
  • OpenClaw: OpenClaw is independent open-source software and is governed by its own license.

9. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. For pricing changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice before they take effect.

Continued use of ClawNest after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

ClawNest is provided "as is". While we strive for 99.9% uptime and robust backups, we are not liable for:

  • Data loss (though we provide backup tools, you should maintain your own copies of critical data).
  • The content generated by your OpenClaw AI assistants.
  • Downtime caused by third-party API providers (e.g., if OpenAI is down, your AI assistant will not work, but this is not a ClawNest failure).

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
